A Lovely Shop to Visit!

Over the past 25 years, Bramble House has been Montreal’s best little British food shop. Located on the West Island in the village of Valois, (Pointe-Claire), Bramble House offers a wide selection of your favourite treats and sweets from Britain. We have all the cherished brands like Heinz, Bisto, Paxo, Colmans, and much (much!) more in the pantry. We carry Cadbury chocolate (only the British Cadbury!), as well as Nestle and Galaxy. and others. We also have a vast selection of sweets like Jelly Babies and Fruit Pastilles, Murray Mints, Jelly Tots, Licorice Allsorts, Wine Gums, and much, much more. We do love our sweets!

We do our best to cover the range from biscuits to beverages, as well as Walker’s and Tayto’s crisps, Twiglets and other salty snacks; not to mention the imported Scottish Smoked Haddock and Kippers. One of the beauties of Bramble House is our Request-System. If you want something that we don’t have in stock, we will do everything we can to order it for you! All you have to do is tell us what you’re looking for, and while we can’t get everything, we can certainly get quite a bit. Victory V’s? Done. TCP? We have it. Fairy Liquid Detergent? We have that, too. We are flexible, fascinating, and always accommodating!

We haven’t even mentioned the tea and biscuit selection, or the oatcakes, oatmeals, and mixes for scones, yorkshire pudding and chip shop batter…! Ah, but there, I just did.
And our favourite two words: JAFFA. CAKES. Is there anything better? We think not. …Perhaps the chocolate digestives? But, you can decide for yourself, can’t you!

We are also very proud to be partnered with the award-winning Gryphon Bakery for their scones and shortbread.

We are open five days a week, we are ridiculously nice and helpful, and take great pride in doing everything we can to ensure every customer leaves happy. We like the folksy style that Bramble has cultivated over the years, because in a world where shopping is as easy as tapping your finger on a button, people matter more than ever. If you want us to ignore you, we can do that. If you want to chat about world politics, we can do that, too. If you want to share your mum’s recipe for Lamb Hot Pot, we’ll take it.
